Welcome to the home of the Lemon & Tunkhannock Townships Joint Municipal Sewer Authority, established and incorporated In the year of 2012. This site was created for the ease of sharing information between the Authority and its customers.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:
Please read Article XI: Prohibited Wastes, in the Rules & Regulations posted on this Homepage. Emergency call outs will be billed to the customer if regulations are not followed. Most important is NO KIND OF GREASE SHOULD BE DISCHARGED IN YOUR SYSTEM. All pans, bowls, utensils should be wiped clean before washing.

PROJECT STATUS:
The wastewater treatment plant has been in operation since June, 2023 and connection invoices were sent out to customers that had their grinder pumps tested, green tagged and approved for service connection with the Plant.
The Connection Ordinance for each Township mandates that connection from the home to the main line be completed within 60 days of receiving the connection invoice. The latest invoice & notice to connect was sent out mid-May 2024 along with the coupon payment book. More than adequate time has been allowed to complete the connection process. The Connection fee is due to be paid within 30 days of receiving the invoice, regardless of connection completion to your house. Customers who have outstanding connection fees will be charged a 10% late fee. Please refer to the Regulations on the Authority’s website. Reminder of the USDA 1% loan that is available to customers and the grant possibility for 62 & older who qualify with income limits. Information is below.
OTHER INFORMATION:
June 2024- All Lake Carey residents are required to pay their monthly invoice using the coupon payment book, regardless of connection status. Each coupon is marked at the bottom right corner for the month due. Invoices will not be mailed. Please call 570-836-0514 if you did not receive your coupon book.
Options to pay will be ACH (auto pay), Bill pay & check. A drop box on our building is also available for customers to leave their payments when the office is closed. The ACH form at the top of this page may be printed, completed & returned to lttwpsma@yahoo.com or brought into the office.
ALSO IMPORTANT – Please return your completed Connection application with all signatures and pumping & filling documentation for decommissioning your septic tank. Permits will be provided for customers who have completed all requirements. (Parcel IDs are found on your tax bills, please add to the top of the application)

INCOME LIMITS FOR 1-4 PERSON HOUSEHOLD – BELOW $39,200 & 5-8 PERSON HOUSEHOLD – BELOW $62,700
Low interest loans are available at 1%. Second homes are not eligible.
